NVIDIA began testing its first self-cars

Municipalities cars are the next niche market where NVIDIA see great potential for future development. The company NVIDIA testing its first self-cars has already revealed plans for a partnership with Baidu in creating a platform for smart cars that can run autonomously. NVIDIAhave received official authorization from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in California to begin the first public tests with self-cars, informs Engadget.

WHY IS NVIDIA TESTING ITS FIRST SELF-CARS?

Taka company joins leading names such as Google, Honda, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW, which also already conducted public experiments with similar models. The test car at NVIDIA says BB8 and uses processor and a special interface artificial intelligence company. Its engineers already for two years intensively developed similar software. So far NVIDIA experimented large parking lots and private roads to check the capabilities of the technology.
