Chinese company TLC bought the rights to BlackBerry smartphones

BlackBerry announced several months ago that it plans to stop making smartphones and will instead focus entirely on software development. The company confirmed that it sold the rights to use the trademark’s BlackBerry Chinese company TLC. In the future, they will be responsible for the design, manufacture, sale and maintenance of smartphones with this name. We remind you that it was the TLC created last two models of BlackBerry, namely DTEK50 and DTEK60, forward TheVerge.
A curious detail is that at the beginning of 2015 company acquired the rights to the trademark Palm. The deal between Chinese company TLC and BlackBerry will be global in nature and will apply only in several Asian countries such as Indonesia, India, and Nepal. The reason for this restriction is that BlackBerry already has different licensing agreements on the territory of these countries. The decision to sell the rights of TLC was prompted by the serious problems the company is experiencing in the smartphone market.
