Review Acer Predator Triton 700: Fears this gaming notebook

Acer introduces the Acer Predator Triton 700 a new gaming notebook with a 15.4-inch display and a mechanical keyboard. With a view window on the front, you can look at the so-called AeroBlade 3D fans, while the glass surface serves as a touch screen. We were able to test the very thin and lightweight gaming laptop during its release in New York.
The view on the hinged Acer Predator Triton 700 will immediately hang on a dark area above the keyboard after he has finished the search for the trackpad unsuccessfully. There is simply no one. And this is by no means the only special feature of this gaming laptop.

Who needs it?

Who has an eye on the grotesquely large and expensive gaming laptop Predator 21 X has thrown, but neither has 10,000 euros left and his gaming machine also want to put in the backpack. With a price starting at 3.400 euros, the Acer Predator Triton 700 is anything but a bargain, in terms of performance and portability, but the price is justified. So much power in such a compact housing has never been.

Design and building: Acer Predator Triton 700

Because it is indeed amazing how easy (2.6 kilograms) and thin (1.89 centimeters) is the new addition. 1.89 inches! So the Triton 700 would go loose as an Ultrabook. The ultrabook has Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 well-thought.
The processing is high-quality, conspicuous gap dimensions we could not discover at the test device provided to us. The partly very jagged optics, especially at the back, is taste but should arrive at the destination pub very well.

The Acer Predator Triton 700 does not use a conventional trackpad. Instead, you’ll find a Gorilla Glass window in the top case, which provides a view of the cooling components below, including newly designed AeroBlade 3D fans. These fans make the flat design according to Acer at all possible.

Not the whole glass surface recognizes fingerings, but about two-thirds of the surface. As futuristic as it is, the hands-on experience of the trackpad replacements. The finger is always hanging again, sensitive inputs are so difficult. Gamers will be able to cope with it since they will plug a gaming mouse to the massively available ports anyway. A double click triggers you by the glass surface with two fingers sighted.

Also, the keyboard is unusual and therefore habituation need. Acer is based on a mechanical keyboard which, however, feels more like a traditional keyboard due to the non-elliptical stroke. As with the trigger of a camera, there are two pressure points, with inputs already being recognized at the first of these points. With this keyboard, it would also be comfortable to write if the Predator Triton 700 had a handball. The wrists are aching after a short time. But this Bolide was not designed for idle offices either.

Performance: Acer Predator Triton 700

Take a look at the technical data and you already have a rough idea of what’s going on with this Predator. Overclocking? Please. This data is to be understood as the benchmarks, as there is still a little time left in the country until the final release in summer and benchmarks are still outstanding. Acer has probably already done this, see picture on the left.

The laptop has 32 gigabytes of DDR4 memory and two NVMe PCIe SSDs in the RAID0 network already speak a clear language. Also, the screen can be seen in the truest sense. It offers Full HD resolution and a high-angle IPS panel. If you connect an external monitor, you can build on Nvidia’s G-Sync technology.

Conclusion: Acer Predator Triton 700

Review Acer Predator Triton 700: Fears this gaming notebook
We can well imagine that this gaming notebook will appear on the Christmas wish list on many birthday wishes, and later in the year. How, then, the gaming-enthusiastic newcomers declare that a 3,400 euro notebook breaks the price?
The Acer Predator Triton 700 is definitely one of the world’s most popular notebooks, and it is as portable as any other serious gaming notebook before.
