The box from the company Xiaomi and Huami is unusual. Here we got a black and red cardboard box that has a transparent window on top and through it, we can see the watch. This is a well-equipped box of quality material. Let’s see what’s inside the box.
Here we found a few valuable things, namely a charging dock, a USB data cable, and an instruction manual for use in English. As if the usual equipment.
APPEARANCE AND DESIGN: XIAOMI AMAZFIT SMART WATCH
The appearance of the watch is unique; it’s just a round shape of the dial. Around the rim is applied a special coating of ceramics, which gives a beautiful effect to the appearance of the watch. I also wanted to mention the protective glass Gorilla Glass with oleophobic coating, which gives the device a beautiful style.
On the reverse side, you can find the heart rate sensor, the charging pad and a convenient mechanism for changing the strap.
The mount for it is standard, so you can change the straps to any other. The reverse side of the watch is made of high-quality plastic on which the model and production series are written.
In these watches, the Huami Amazfit Watch has only one mechanical button, which is designed to turn on the watch.

One huge plus is the Amazfit Watch smartwatch screen. Before I wrote the article, I reviewed a lot of videos and reread articles about this watch and everyone swore and said that the screen is bad. Let’s take a closer look because I do not think that the watch screen is bad. Since there is not a standard screen for this type of device, this is a transflective LCD.
This means that the screen under conditions of bright illumination (for example, in daylight), such a display operates mainly, reflecting light, with a contrast corresponding to the illumination. In low light or dark conditions, the LCD backlight is turned on. This is a big plus for the device’s autonomy.
And so, we get a practically round 1.34-inch TN-screen with a resolution of 320×300 pixels. Under the screen, there was an ambient light sensor, and it’s all covered with a protective glass, which is nice.
Thus, in daylight, you can see the time and all the necessary functions of the device. And at the same time energy is not expended, and due to this, we save battery power. When the lighting is bad, then we can use the backlight of the screen.
I completely agree that the viewing angles of the screen are not the best, but you will not look at the watch at an acute angle so that the screen in this watch really liked.
HARDWARE AND PERFORMANCE: XIAOMI AMAZFIT SMART WATCH
Let’s talk about the technical part of the watch Amazfit Watch, which runs on a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor with 512 MB of RAM. In addition, the user is available 4GB of internal memory for storing music and other files. The operating system uses a modified Android. Externally, it resembles Android Wear, used in smartwatches from other manufacturers.

For example, the “Running” mode includes GPS, which without using the phone can save the exact route, distance, and altitude of the ascent. And the other sensors will supplement the statistics with the pulse measurement sensor, display the running time and the calories burned. Very nice opportunity for this watch!
After the workout is completed, a detailed report with a large amount of data appears on the phone. People who lead an active way of life will like such a variety of available programs and the ability to track a large number of parameters.

HOW TO REFLASH THE WATCH YOURSELF?
The installation requires 300MB of free space on the watch, a charged battery and any firmware.
The firmware will rise as a native, replace it completely, you can overload and do a complete reset, and everything will remain.

Installation – just run install.cmd under windows when installing on top of NOT my firmware, it will do everything by itself. The clock will be reset to zero, the screen will display a QR code.
Full update – update.cmd – installation on top of my firmware from 1.2.8 and above (all data will be in place). The whole system will be overwritten, even if something was changed in it, not scary.
Quick update – update in the form update.zip to throw on the clock through the conductor to the root and select in the Tweaks Update FW (1.2.11 and higher).
Removal – put any other.
Do not panic if at the very beginning of the install.cmd start, after the words “boot boot.img …” on the screen there will be the word FAIL, this is a feature.
The recommended process for switching from other firmware: unplug the clock from the phone (unpair) -> connect to the PC when on the screen QR code -> run the installer -> tie the watch.
The watches are loaded for the first time because of Re-create the cache of the Android program.
BATTERY: XIAOMI AMAZFIT SMART WATCH
I was very worried about the autonomy of the watch since most manufacturers do not promise a charge for 1 day of work. The watch has a small battery for 280 mAh. And the watch could really surprise, since they really worked for five days, saving about another ten percent of the charge.
The Amazfit watch is charged through the docking station with a contact pad. And this is not a very pleasant feature since it uses a latch for fastening and if dust or sand gets between the case and the station, the watch will certainly get a couple of new scratches.
