Samsung officially revealed the reason for the outbreak of the Galaxy Note 7

Samsung issued a statement related to the reasons for the problems with the battery of Galaxy Note 7. For seven months the Korean manufacturer has conducted tests with hardware, software, and method of assembling the device. The company also hired three independent industry groups, which in turn investigate the unpleasant incident with Galaxy Note 7. According to Samsung’s 700 engineers have tested over 200 thousand phablets Galaxy Note 7 and 30 thousand rechargeable batteries to understand what is causing the outbreak into flames on the device forward NSmartphone.
The core reason for the problem is a defect in the batteries themselves, which does not contribute any other hardware. We remind you that they are produced by Samsung SDI, the second batch of batteries for Galaxy Note 7 are created by the company Amperex Technology. The investigation showed that in both cases they were prone to burst. The problems are caused by deficiencies in the way of production that cause the batteries to overheat.
Batteries Samsung SDI have deformities in the upper edges too thin internal dividers, while those of Amperex suffer from lack of insulation tapes. The company confirmed that 96% of all manufactured models Galaxy Note 7 are withdrawn from the market. The Korean manufacturer has taken drastic measures to ensure the safety of future devices, including protocols such as “Multi-Layer Safety Measures” and “8-Point Battery Safety Check“. Samsung has formed a special division Battery Advisory Group, to ensure that these problems will not happen again.
