DESIGN: GIONEE M6S PLUS
The new smartphone will be available in several colors, namely: black, gold and silver.
Both the front and back sides have laser faceting to gloss. The front face features a display, a front camera, and two touch keys. The keys are equipped with a backlight and in an inactive state are completely invisible.
On the back of the device, the main camera with a LED flash, a mirror area under the fingerprint scanner and the company logo were installed.
And from below is a microphone with a speaker and a two-sided USB Type-C port for charging and connecting headphones. On the left side there is a pull-out SIM for two Nano-SIM cards, and on the right, there is a lock key and a volume key.
It is noteworthy that 3.5 mm audio output from the smartphone is located from the bottom, but this is the new policy for Gionee.
Gionee M6S Plus feels very massive smartphone, as the weight of the device is 215gram. It has good ergonomics, but it is a bit too big for the hand. The assembly of the smartphone is excellent, and the body is tenacious and pleasant to the touch. The keys are pressed easily and have a characteristic click when triggered.
In general, we are pleased with the design and assembly of the new model from the company Gionee.
DISPLAY: GIONEE M6S PLUS
This is a huge 6.0-inch motherboard with a display resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. As the manufacturer claims are the Super AMOLED-display. And indeed the display has an excellent picture.
The display has good responsiveness, brightness, and good maximum viewing angles. The display is large, so watching movies will be nice and good. As for games, the smartphone has a good specification, so 3d games will be convenient to play on it.
HARDWARE: GIONEE M6S PLUS
The new Gionee M6S Plus has an 8-core Snapdragon 653 processor that works with the Adreno 510 GPU graphics accelerator. RAM here is available 6GB, and flash memory in two configurations is 64GB or 256GB.
The smartphone works quickly and responsive, brakes even in complex games and while watching the online video was not observed. Yes, and with such a powerful chip, they should not be.
In the AnTuTu synthetic benchmark, the Gionee M6S Plus scores 87385 points and is on the same level as the smartphones like Huawei Honor 8, Meizu Pro 6 and OPPO R9S Plus. All thanks to a new powerful processor from Qualcomm.
Also, I would like to mention that Snapdragon 653 supports two fast charging technologies, namely Quick Charge 2.0 / 3.0.
CAMERA: GIONEE M6S PLUS
The new M6S Plus device traditionally has one main and one front camera. The main CMOS module is 12 megapixels and can record 4K video at a frame rate of 30 fps.
It is also worth noting that the main camera has support for the phase autofocus PDAF with a capture rate of 0.03 s. The luminous intensity is f / 1.9 and the pixel size is 1.4μm.
The front camera received an 8-megapixel module with an aperture of f / 2.2 and a viewing angle of 76.5 degrees.
Both cameras are good, but the front camera here is really well done.
BATTERY: GIONEE M6S PLUS
Inside the smartphone, the manufacturer installed a battery for 6020mAh. The claimed talk time is 12-16 hours, and the total charging time is 1.5 hours. Since it uses Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology and intelligent power management system.
The device keeps the charge confidently for three days. In terms of autonomy, it is very similar to Ulefone Power 2, although its battery has a capacity slightly more than 6050mAh.
If 1.5 hours of charge for you for a long time, you can activate the software function of fast charge. Gionee M6S Plus starts charging much faster, but its body begins to noticeably warm. When the quick charge function is activated, the system will warn you about it.
CONCLUSION: GIONEE M6S PLUS
Gionee M6S Plus is an excellent option for those who want to get a high-quality and reliable smartphone with additional protection from data encryption. In addition, you will get high performance.
We have a decent device with an excellent price-quality ratio. If you are tired of the monthly announcements of identical phones from Xiaomi and Meizu, then look towards Gionee.
The company makes good smartphones, among the undeniable advantages of which is the availability of quality firmware from the box. Specifically, this model liked a good hardware platform, a high-quality front camera, a friendly shell and a capacious battery in the package.
I used Gionee F103 Pro Which has nice user interface and smooth performance. If I ever buy another Gionee I will definitely buy M6S.
